GCI and MIC Nepal signed a Memorandum of Understanding on June 26, 2016
Global College International (www.gci.edu.np) and Microsoft Innovation Center Nepal (micnepal.org) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on June 26, 2016.
Prof. Dr. Subarna Lal Bajracharya, Academic Director (on behalf of GCI) along with Mr. Pradeep Kandel, Academic Partnership Lead,MICNIC (on behalf of MIC Nepal) was present to sign the document.
The MOU signals commitment by both institutions to increased co-operation to foster innovation. The primary areas of focus include:
-Building skills and intellectual capital through training courses, employment programs and mentoring experiences.
-Fostering industry partnerships through programs on how to work successfully with Microsoft, as well as through the cultivation of local and regional industry alliances.
-Increasing innovation at the local through hands-on engagements, such as labs geared towards the interests of ISVs, startups, partners, students, entrepreneurs.
-MIC Nepal will also create a group of faculty members to ensure that knowledge on new products and technologies of Microsoft, training opportunities, certification possibilities along with better teaching methodologies using technology in the classroom, pedagogical knowledge, courseware, programs, initiatives and other programs will be shared and discussed with the faculty members.
